Job Description

A fantastic opportunity for a Global Head of Talent & Learning to join our client on a permanent basis in London.

The Global Head of Talent & Learning will be responsible for:

  • Developing and building the overall talent function and strategy that is aligned to the business strategy and can be measured to show the impact and return on investment
  • Developing and managing the performance management process across the organisation ensuring it is aligned with the company culture and values and is delivering the right performance outcomes
  • Developing and implementing a strategy surrounding Talent & Succession planning and roll this out across the organisation making sure it is fit for purpose. This will include role mapping, organisational development work and designing and implementing talent management programmes for all employees
  • Overseeing the development, delivery and regular review of the Talent business plan, budget planning and workforce plans
  • Leading the development and delivery of strategic leadership development programmes for all leaders, aligned to the long-term objectives of the business
  • Leading the development, implementation and embedding of succession planning practices, talent management and development programmes across the business to enable it to fully utilise the potential of its people and meet future and changing business needs
  • Leading the development and delivery of coaching and mentoring capability, championing the benefits of coaching, mentoring and sponsorship
  • Enabling and ensure the development of interventions focussed on improving line manager competence and capability
  • Leading the effective implementation and measurement of management potential and capability, building a management assessment and development programme
    Overseeing the development and innovation of all aspects of the competency and behavioural frameworks

In order to be considered for this opportunity you must be able to demonstrate:

  • You will have a track record defining and implementing global L&D and Talent Strategies as well as being comfortable rolling your sleeves up and delivering against plans
  • Experience of building a Talent infrastructure from the ground up
  • Experience of managing people and working directly with senior stakeholders
  • Flexibility and pragmatism and the ability to deal with ambiguity
  • Ability to lead continuous organisational change and development
  • Able to proactively develop team dynamics and performance, ensuring quality standards are consistently achieved
  • Demonstrable experience of managing projects and delivering successful outcomes
  • Good knowledge of development and expertise in learning, development and talent
  • Experience of managing change in a global organisation
  • Building a new team from scratch
