Treasury Assistant - Aberdeen

The Treasury Assistant will be responsible for the processing of bank transactions in Oracle and in the online banking system.

Job Specific Duties:

  • Daily downloading of bank transactions to excel of all UK controlled EPS West accounts to record and track postings to ledgers
  • Posting and allocating all receipts for locally controlled EPS West bank accounts, and update the bank entries spreadsheet
  • Reviewing and rectifying any unallocated receipts on a timely basis
  • Processing bank any cheques and incoming cash, and post in Oracle
  • Processing ad hoc payments via the online banking system, and update the Ad Hoc Payments Register
  • Posting all ad hoc payments in Oracle and update bank entries spreadsheet
  • Processing BACS payments via the online banking system.
  • Working with accounts payable to ensure timely posting of direct debits to supplier accounts
  • Providing assistance for the preparation of weekly short term cash flows
  • Providing support for internal and external auditors, responding quickly and comprehensively to all queries and implementing any recommended change to process in a timely manner
  • Supporting credit risk management by running D&B analysis on new and existing customers as required - support the Credit Specialist and Commercial teams by providing timely information on credit worthiness, highlighting risks as appropriate
  • Providing support to the Credit Specialist on preparation of weekly debt report as required
  • Posting of monthly recurring journals for treasury related items
  • Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts as assigned
  • Investigating unidentified transactions to ensure their validity and correct coding
  • Ensuring adherence to financial controls over payments and receipts and identify and promote continuous improvements to processes and controls

The successful individual will have experience working in a team within a large multi-national company. They will have experience in processing high volume of transactions and have an understanding and experience with online banking systems, working with multiple, multi-currency bank accounts. Experience in an international group of companies is preferred in addition to experience of using an Oracle system.

We are looking for someone with careful attention to detail, who can work with minimum supervision. They must be able to work to tight deadlines and have strong prioritisation skills.

They will be proficient in the use of Adobe, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
