We are currently seeking a Project Accountant to join our clients team based in Westhill on a permanent basis.

The Project Accountant will be responsible for providing financial support to project teams and the Finance Department

Key Performance Areas

• Responsible for the control of significant cost packages

• Provide support and guidance to Project Managers and all relevant team members on cost control and all other project finance tasks

• Highlighting any financial risks, opportunities or issues

• Responsible for the control of all project revenue and costs

• Be the project focal point for all financial queries, promote an environment of strong cost control within the project team and contribute to financial decision making.

• Work within the finance month end timetable

• Lead the production of the project cost report and forecast including clear variance analysis, demonstrate an understanding of changes from As Bid at all times.

• Liaise with Project Manager, Project Planner, Buyer and Contracts Engineer to complete the monthly Project Report

• Issue sales invoices in a timely manner

• Populate and submit a weekly cash flow ensuring clear visibility on project commitments

• Assist with internal and external audit queries

• Supporting the Leadership Team as appropriate, completing specific focused tasks, to support the continuing improvement in operational excellence

We are currently seeking a Part-time sales ledger controller for our client, based in Westhill.

This will be up to 21 hours per week; Mon to Fri to ensure timely production and recording of sales invoices based on information from Project Accountant.

Duties;

• Carry out credit control procedures.

• Advise Finance Manager (Transactions) and Financial Controller of overdue debt and the reasons for it.

• Accountability and Key Performance Areas:

• Sound knowledge of and adherence to the Business Management System framework and governance

• Demonstrate behaviours and attitude which align to company values

• To control the recording, payment & reporting of all sales invoices

• To control the recording, payment and reporting of all sales invoices for subsidiaries of the companies offshore UK as and when required.

• Carry out credit control and advise Project Managers of any issues arising

• Assist all areas of the business preparation of sales invoices

• Ensure invoices are properly recorded on the accounting system

• Match receipts with invoices as required

• Report on customer receivables on a weekly basis to project teams, commercial & finance departments

• Cashflow reporting

• Ad-hoc support to finance transaction team as and when required

• Ad hoc administration duties as and when required

• Any other delegated responsibilities as instructed by Line Management within the timeframe specified, in a safe and efficient manner to meet business requirements.

Purpose of Role

To provide Information Management services with specific responsibility for Subsurface data (Geoscience and Drilling). To assist in the development of Subsurface data management strategy and policy.

Duties & Responsibilities to include

• Register, track, retrieve and distribute Subsurface data received from internal and third parties through use of Master Document Registers or other internal processes

• Submission of data to UK and International government agencies to meet Subsurface data management obligations.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of owned blocks, licenses, partners, planned drilling and exploration activities.

Job Skills

• Experience in a similar position essential within the oil and gas industry.

Our client have a requirement for a Senior Risk Engineer to join their team on a fixed term basis for 12 months.


• To be responsible for the development, maintenance and monitoring of all Risk Management activities and associated documents on multiple project scopes / business endeavours.

• Ensure application of Risk Management process to assigned Operating Unit projects throughout their full lifecycles.

• Provide guidance and support of junior Risk Engineers throughout their training.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

• To promote and build good working relations within the internal and external teams.

• Maintain a high level awareness and application of Risk Management activities within each project. .

• To be fully conversant with the application and use of WorleyParsons Services UK Ltd Risk Management suite of tools and chosen software applications.

• Prepare, update and maintain project Risk Management activities, throughout the project lifecycle and across the 7 step process: .
 

• Ensure the timely issue of accurate, updated Risk Management Plans and associated documents at the agreed intervals. .

• Provide guidance to Project personnel in defining Risk Management objectives based on project objectives and support application of the risk process. .

• Utilise a number of risk identification techniques in order to facilitate risk identification sessions .

• Develop and implement risk assessment criteria as part of a project risk register. .

• Assist Risk Owners with the selection of appropriate risk response strategies and development of action plans to address identified risks. .

• To assist project or functional personnel in the familiarisation and consistent application of Risk Management software tools and associated process. .

• Facilitate Risk workshops and develop project Risk Registers which act as repositories for all risk related information.

• Conduct with Cost / Schedule Risk Analysis Workshop sessions, facilitating workshops and developing associated outputs. .

• Support and encourage managers and business units in the use of Decision Analysis on projects where applicable. .

• Ensure the timely issue of accurate, updated reports and associated documents at the agreed intervals. .

• Regularly engage with project teams, attending and contributing to project meetings as deemed appropriate.

• Provide input to development in project Risk Registers and continual improvement of corporate templates.

 

Qualifications/Training: Essential:

 

• HNC / HND (in relevant discipline)

• IRM International Certificate in Risk Management (or an alternative risk qualification).

 

Desirable:.

• BA or BSc degree (min. 2:1) in Risk Management, alternative subjects considered can include: Project Management, Engineering, other analytical disciplines. .

 

Experience Essential:

• Previous Risk experience (ideally circa 5 years) across relevant Risk Management activtiies

• Specialist knowledge in Risk Management software, i.e. Primavera Risk Analysis, @Risk / other MCS

• Software and experienced with quantitative risk analysis (i.e. cost / schedule risk analysis).

• Demonstrable involvement within oil gas & industry and / or cross-over experience from a comparable technical industry.

 

Desirable:

• Extensive working knowledge of the upstream offshore oil and gas industry and / or downstream petrochemical industry.

• Knowledge of various project risk management software applications

• Ability to support departmental audit on both the Risk systems and Risk processes.

• Experience in internal project delivery processes and procedures (e.g. IDM, interaction with DCC.)

JOB DESCRIPTION: Working within the project team you will report to the relevant Operations Manager.

• Liaise with individuals and payroll on any wage queries that may arise

• Maintain training matrix and HR select with relevant information

• Prepare monthly training and competency reports

• Liaise with training delegates and raise training requests as required

• Assist in the coordination of all other training requirements, workforce, training provided liaison etc

• Process employee expenses claims as required

Fabric Maintenance Coordinator - Aberdeen

We are working with our operator client based in Aberdeen to source a Fabric Maintenance Coordinator.

This will be based on a 12-month contract.

• Manage the FM contractor to ensure effective implementation of all FM work-scopes (all coatings, insulation, flange protection etc.).

• Define and implement FM programmes.

• Work with Integrity and Inspection positions to ensure appropriate inspection programmes are implemented as part of the FM work-scopes.

• Co-ordinate offshore FM contractor activities.

• Work with Integrity and Inspection positions to develop inspection strategies and programmes to address threats to the assets ‘fabric’ integrity e.g. handrails and gratings; uni-strut; brackets etc. in line with industry best practice – HSE hydrocarbon leak reduction toolkit

• Responsible for the development and implementation of ‘tertiary’ equipment maintenance/replacement programmes.

• Work with the Integrity Engineer to develop an integrated insulation removal and inspection programme (in support of the CUI strategy).

Core Technical Experience

• Previous experience of operations supports within offshore oil and gas industry.

• Awareness of KP-3 & 4.

• Knowledge of composite wrap repairs.

• NACE Protective Coating Specialist

• SSPC Protective Coating Specialist

• Commercial and contractual awareness.

Qualifications

• Current offshore survival and medical.

• Institute of Corrosion Fireproofing and Insulation Certificate

• Educated to degree level or satisfactory equivalent e.g. HND/HNC plus vocational certificates and NDT awareness/experience.

• NACE Coating Inspector Level 3 Certificate

• A member of a professional body e.g. NACE, ICorr etc.

• Track record of continuous professional development e.g. Chartered/Incorporated/Associated Engineer via a recognised engineering body.

We have an opportunity for an experienced Project Waste Material Coordinator to join our client in Aberdeen on a contract basis for 6 months

Description and Main Purpose of Job:

• To co-ordinate and manage all decommissioning material control operations on the project and daily management of waste contractor as required including interfacing with Client for reporting requirements Accountability and Key Performance Areas:

• Sound knowledge of and adherence to the Business Management System (BMS) framework and governance i.e. waste framework directive & Environment Protection Act

• Project driven targets and KPIs

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure that Waste Material Control activities fully comply with current legislation and safe systems of work as per established Decommissioning process

• Manage the interfaces between onshore/offshore project teams & waste disposal contractor and their associated sub-contractors

• Give Logistical and documentary support necessary for the movement of decommissioning materials from the vessel to quayside

• Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of materials transactions and logistics activities

• Optimise the offloading and storage utilisation with Waste contractor to minimise vessel time alongside

• Prepare and issue documentation in accordance with regulations governing the shipment of goods classified by dangerous for shipment by land, air or sea when applicable

• Provide support to the Project in all aspects of the decommissioning process with reference to waste management and handling expertise

• Experience of drafting and completing client reports

• Flexibility in working hours and routines to maintain progress of the work scopes

• Ability and willingness to travel a short notice to various sites within the UK as required as determined by vessel schedules

• Understanding of current regulations and guidelines for disposal of waste recovered from offshore in the UKCS

• Competent in the use/shipment of Dangerous Goods preferably radioactive material consigned by Road/Sea

• Experience of completing transfer of waste documentation

• Excellent understanding and skills of Excel & meticulous attention to detail for data input 

• Experienced and effective in a fast paced, fluid environment and working under pressure

• Possesses thorough understanding of logistics procedures & current HMRC legislation

• Relevant experience of providing QA/QC advice in a dynamic project/company environment

Oil and gas operator currently have an opening for a Surface Facilities Technical Assistant to join their team for a contract role based in London

Provide daily support to the efficiency of the Facilities delivery teams by ensuring that key processes and systems are diligently applied;

• Provide reporting and insight on progress, with knowledge of status to support timely issue resolution;

• Be responsive to new and modified tasks in a dynamic working environment;

• As custodian of key processes, work with the wider team to develop, maintain and improve systems;

• Interact with the wider team to expedite activities and provide support and training on tools and processes;

Key Accountabilities

• Compliance with the Company and Contract Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality policies;

• Custodian of the Company Document Registers for the Surface Facilities teams, controlling the status of contractual documentation between Contracts (using information from Document Control and inputting into SCM/Contracts documentation);

• Focal point for formal ATMS action tracking system – reporting, expediting and supporting team in timely resolution;

• Custodian of Lessons Learned (LL) system – managing contextual data and supporting the wider team in taking items through a rigorous system with multiple interfaces;

• Expediting team members to ensure input and status of various registers;

• Developing and improving tools and processes, typically in MS Excel;

• Work with the IT and Information Management team to maintain the project SharePoint website;

• Assisting Surface Facilities team with documentation related activities – developing and implementing templates, resolving technical document issues, formatting and preparing presentation materials;

• Collating and preparing large document and data sets for data rooms and external interactions;

• Ad-hoc tasks related to documentation and data in support of project delivery and assurance reviews; Common / Routine Tasks Assisting with ATMS items – inputting risks into the register for staff or chasing updates;

• Assisting interfaces with Document Control for the following tasks:

• Retrieving documents from CDMS for teams;

• Checking on transmittals; • Occasional data-entry into CDMS;

• Updating the Sea Lion Data room (K drive);

• Helping teams by converting documents or PowerPoints into the new templates;

• Interfacing with PMO’s external template designer (John Bounds) with any template updates needed; Responsibilities

• Monitoring the PMO Surface Facilities documents register and making updates as required;

• Assist the FPSO team’s documents registers and folders;

• Assist the Subsea team’s documents registers and folders;

• Sorting, filtering and monitoring the project Lessons Learned (LL) items and working with teams to respond to their assigned items in order to close out LLs. (e.g. developing a “how to guide” for tracking LLs, expediting actions, consolidating LLs etc.);

• Helping/training teams on use of updated PowerPoint and Word templates;

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent.

Candidate Profile Skills / Experience:

• Technical awareness and interest in systems and processes;

• IT / Information Management awareness and interest;

• Awareness of typical project processes – action tracking, document control, SharePoint system

• Basic data management;

• Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, including templates;

• Knowledge (e.g. systems, software, procedures, regulations):

• Awareness of Oil & Gas industry, and/or major capital projects in other sectors (preferred);

Our client is currently seeking a Statutory Accountant to join their team based north of the city on a permanent basis.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for -

• The audit file preparation ensuring accounting and reporting for assigned/designated legal entities are completed in compliance with local GAAP/IFRS for external and statutory reporting purposes

• Interact with external auditors during the audit of statutory accounts

• To prepare information for the tax department to support annual tax filings

• Assist with certain local tax filings and reconciliations e.g. VAT

• Assist with submission of statistical returns or filing documents as required by local government authorities

• Ad-hoc miscellaneous duties as assigned to ensure adequate support to designated shared service support operations

• Assist in any finance related audit as required

Required Qualifications:

• Qualified professional accountant

• Experience in the preparation of financial statements is preferred

Finance Manager - Aberdeen

Our client based north of the city is currently recruiting for a Finance Manager on a contractual basis, this is a 3 month contract initially but has the scope to be extended.

Key Responsibilities

• Management, development and mentoring of the GL Accounting Team, organising roles and responsibilities, work plans, timetables and deadlines for finance objectives and deliverables

• Ensure timely completion of monthly management accounts and review variance analysis prepared by the team and present to senior management (NAV17 and NAV15);

• Ensure timely completion of monthly balance sheet reconciliations and review (peer review for low risk entities), identify risks/opportunities and pro-actively resolve reconciling items (through Blackline);

• Liaise with other departments and foster strong collaborative working relationships (eg Tax; Group Finance; Treasury; Supply Chain; OTC and AP);

• Understand regulation, legislation and industry developments and how they will impact the business;

• Ensure all Group accounting policies and procedures and regulatory reporting requirements (including all indirect tax returns) are understood by the team and adhered to;

• Liaise with third party accounting providers to ensure that deliverables are understood and adhered to and that information received is understood and consistent with that presented to Group;

• Support the Group and the Finance Leadership team in other ad hoc projects as they arise.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)

• 5+ years’ experience in a financial management position

• Proven strategic planning experience at the management level

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and NAV

• Demonstrated creative and critical thinking skills

• Experience of working in Shared Service Centre environment

• Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously

• Strong communication and presentation skills

Part Time Integrity Planning Technician - Aberdeen

We have an opportunity for an experienced Part Time Integrity Planning Technician to join our client in Aberdeen on a permanent basis.

The position will report to the Integrity Team Leader and be required to work 22.5 hours per week.

Overall duties of the role:

• Management, update and weekly issue of the D13 (inspection) and D31 (FM) plans for the platforms

• Liaising with Integrity Engineers, and planning team to ensure accurate and up to date plans are in place

• Co-ordination of weekly planning meeting with integrity team

• Weekly reporting of backlog and deferral status in conjunction with planning team

• Weekly reporting of anomaly status

• Supporting the preparation of integrity reports and statements
