Operations Manager - Aberdeen

We are working with our Aberdeen based client who Design, Manufacture and Install Mechanical & Electrical systems to source an Operations Manager.

This position will report to the Board of Director and direct reports will include Planners, Engineers and Contracts personnel. You will be responsible for leading project delivery in accordance with agreed budgets, ensuring the highest standards in health and safety, operational processes and client specification compliance are achieved.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the projects and services teams to ensure the necessary planning, scheduling, material requisition, cost control and quality standards are achieved.
  • Build and develop a culture of client prioritisation with on time, quality, delivery.
  • Ensure the necessary manpower, skills, knowledge, tooling, materials and any other resources are available to achieve objectives.
  • Challenge processes to achieve continuous improvement for clients.
  • Develop and implement KPI’s and regular reporting.
  • Assist the business development team in the delivery of presentations and proposals.
  • Manage and control costs in line with the company budget.
  • Report to the board on operational activity and contribute towards the companies operational strategy and targets.

The ideal candidate will be degree qualified and have extensive project management experience at a senior level and preferably within the construction sector or related industry.
