Oil and Gas Service Company currently have an opening for a Hydraulic Engineer to join there team in Aberdeen
This is a permanent role
To define the scopes of work, prepare estimates and proposals for customers Leading the technical execution of projects on site as required in accordance with the work pack and customer instructions
Ensuring equipment is serviced and maintained in accordance with OEM requirements Perform the duties of Hydraulic services, project, construction and commissioning engineer for various clients across the UK or abroad Initiate and develop contact with customers and establish long term relationships.
Project Estimating Review customer supplied circuit diagrams, P&ID’s and GA’s to determine proposed scope of work
To define the scope of work into a method statement and to prepare Cost Time Resource Estimates for Completing the work using templates.
To define equipment specification requirements to execute the work
To complete product take offs if required and prepare list of consumables.
Ensure written quotations to clients are delivered on time and as per existing company charge out rate structure.
Hydraulic Design, application and Services Provide technical system and application support to customers and regional sales personal for products and system solutions.
Provide concept level proposals and alternate solutions for customer applications and enquiries.
Produce method statements and risk assessments Lead the trouble shooting and maintenance of marine, Industrial, offshore and subsea equipment.
Provide technical support to design team for the design and manufacturing of hydraulic and instrument equipment.
Manage and lead the installation and commissioning of Hydraulic equipment both onshore and offshore.
Liaise with FPPC Engineers to ensure that in house manufacturing of hydraulic equipment are completed as per customer specifications, Quality standards and schedule.
Manage and lead piping, hot oil flushing,
Torqueing and hydro testing projects both onshore and offshore locations.
Ensure that in house overhauling and testing of hydraulic equipment such as pumps, motors, valves, cylinders, PSV’s and accumulators are completed as per procedures and necessary reports and engineering data are generated.
Provide technical support and guidance to Hydraulic technicians and fitters on day to day jobs.
Required Minimum 5 year’s hands on experience in Hydraulics service industry.
Experienced in Hydro-testing, hot oil flushing, contamination monitoring and filtration services
Good knowledge of Hydraulic piping, bolt torqueing and flange management.
Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic hoses and fittings
Knowledge of instrument tubing and fittings
Ability to read and understand hydraulic circuit diagrams, P&ID’s and GA’s
Hands on experience in trouble shooting and maintenance hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Good application knowledge about hydraulic pumps, motors, valves and cylinders.
Experience in Hydraulic cylinder overhauling, maintenance and testing
Design and manufacturing of hydraulic power units (HPU) Familiar with ASTM, ASME, API, ABS and DNV codes and standards is an added advantage
Knowledge of drilling and subsea equipment Marine experience
