We have an opportunity for an experienced Tax Manager to join our client in Aberdeen on a permanent basis.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Leadership:

• Assume accountability for tax affairs as an oil & gas business and as a corporate international head office.

• Manage the relationship with HMRC, ensure a shared understanding of uncertain tax positions, and take charge of resolving potential disputes.

• Guide UK based management and project managers to an operational and strategic understanding of the UK tax regime with the aim of optimizing business results.

• Assume responsibility and ownership of one or more international tax related disciplines within the global tax function. Support:

• Collaborate with other finance functional managers in UK to collaborate on the delivery of the UK reporting and business results.

• Engage with the global tax community and provide functional support across all areas of the tax function.

• Support the Head of Group Tax and international tax managers in designing, implementing and maintaining the global tax function and tax strategy.

• Provide tax functional support to cross-functional projects, for example M&A, facility development projects and financing projects. Compliance:

• Participate as further defined in the support and maintenance of a global process and control environment for direct and indirect.

EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in tax, finance, accounting, economics, business, law or related field required

IDEAL EXPERIENCE

• Proven experience managing a tax function or one or more functional areas within a tax function.

• Experience in the oil and gas industry.

• Managing the tax compliance and tax reporting in a company.

• Proven track record of participating in the management and resolution of disputes with tax authorities.

Environmental Advisor - Aberdeen

Oil and gas operator currently have an opening for an Environmental Advisor to join their team on a permanent basis.

• Provide a competent and proactive service to onshore and offshore asset personnel to ensure that environmental requirements are fully understood and risks, controls & mitigations identified and put in place in a timely, economical and effective fashion, from operations through to decommissioning, including projects, drilling, infill, etc.

• Work collaboratively with OAG to influence and drive robust environmental management and performance improvement.

• Support onshore and offshore teams with environmental issues / concerns e.g. roll out of procedures, incident reporting requirements, coaching and awareness raising.

• Co-ordinate and manage all relevant Permits, Licences, Authorisations, Notifications and Consents Skills / Experience:

• Relevant experience working in environmental field in offshore upstream Oil & Gas sector (preferably operator environment).

• Breadth of experience including offshore production, subsea, drilling and well intervention operations.

• Proven track record in Environmental permitting including in-depth UK Oil Portal experience.

• Demonstrable incident investigation experience – preferably as lead Experience of developing and delivering in-house awareness training Experienced in working and influencing a mixed group of stakeholders

Qualifications/ Technical

• Educated to degree level in appropriate environmental based degree e.g. BSc in Environmental Science Minimum BEIS level 3 Oil Spill Management*

• Lead Auditor / auditing experience desirable Incident investigation training – 5-Y minimum, lead investigator level desirable Radiation Protection Supervisor Awareness Desirable Non-Technical BOSIET/FOET, MIST and Offshore Medical*

Subsea Project Engineer - Aberdeen

Our client, who are an Operator are looking to source a Subsea Project Engineer to join their team in Aberdeen

This will be a contract role commencing January 2019

Purpose:

To provide planning and operational support to the Subsea Infrastructure Decommissioning (SID) team during delivery of an ongoing EPRD (Engineering, Preparation, Removal and Disposal) subsea decommissioning project.

Qualifications & Experience:

The Subsea Project Engineer will have as a minimum the following qualifications and experience:

Proven Subsea Project Engineering experience for a minimum of 3 years

• Previous experience of effective management of subsea contractors

• Previous experience of saturation diving operations and procedures

• Experience, knowledge and awareness of UK Subsea HSE Legislation, ISO standards, DAWR 1997, Safety Case Regulations, Industry Guidance (IMCA, AODC, DMAC, IOGP etc.) and their application to offshore subsea operations.

• Detailed knowledge of subsea architecture and subsea production systems and safe diving and ROV interaction with same.

• Previous experience of subsea decommissioning projects and Engineering, Preparation, Removal and Disposal (EPRD) contracts considered advantageous but not essential

We have an opening for Discipline Lead in the Analysis discipline of the Engineering department. Provide guidance and alignment in the team, make sure that we optimise use of resources, optimise basis for analysis in each project and implement standardized approaches.

Duties and responsibilities:

• This position as the "Discipline Lead" is responsible for leading the discipline.

• This position is reporting into the Regional Engineering Manager from a line management perspective, however when you are assigned to project or tender specific work, you will be assigned a lead or Project Technical Manager who you will report to from a work perspective.

• The Discipline Lead is performance responsible for ensuring production of work deliverables within the approved and agreed project/tender/study plan.

• It may be agreed that the Discipline Lead will be the lead engineer for a particular project/tender/study/vessel work scope and in which case will be responsible for any subordinates in terms of the relevant work scope.

• You are responsible for providing structure and guidance to the Discipline and ensuring that all deliverables from this discipline are being met.

• You are responsible for providing allocation guidance and day to day work and assignment responsibilities for the people working in the Discipline.

• It is expected that your role will help drive development of quality systems, both within Discipline and in the wider organization.

• Be responsible for the planning and execution of the yearly performance appraisals and goal setting for your team and team members within a set time frame.

Key Accountabilities

• Lead the Wells team to deliver an integrated Wells solution that fulfils Sanction requirements.

• Deliver key documentation such as basis of designs, time and cost estimate, integrated Wells schedule, execution plans in readiness for Sanction reviews

• Ensure quality and detail of well engineering is paramount and HSE is considered in all elements for the design and execution.

• Manage the key interface with L&I manager to ensure that logistics and infrastructure scope and delivery fits with Wells schedule

• In conjunction with the Drilling, Logistics and Infrastructure Manager develop and maintain a manpower plan to ensure sufficient skilled personnel are applied at the appropriate time to deliver the campaign.

Candidate Profile Skills / Experience:

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience as a Superintendent or Wells Team Leader with operating companies

• Experience of progressing projects through FEED and Sanction into execution.

• Critical to have managed rig and campaign start ups

• Experience in well operations from a semi-submersible and drilling horizontal development wells.

• Experience in managing operations in remote locations.

We have an opportunity for an experienced Asset Planner to join our Operator client in Aberdeen on a contract basis for 3 months.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and issue POB forecast on weekly basis

• Maintain 30 day baseline plan • Resolution of POB issues and activity clashes with key stakeholders

• Preparation of planning KPIs • Development and progress reporting of detailed item outage plans

• Run weekly and monthly planning meetings in line with planning process

• Oversee weekly plan issue and ensure alignment with 90 day plan

• Oversee weekly POB forecasts and ensure alignment with 90 day plan

• Use of Primavera, Microsoft Excel and Project

Candidates must have 3-5 years planning experience.

Oil and gas operator currently have an opening for a Legal Advisor to join their team for a 6 month contract role based in London

The successful candidate will report to Legal Manager and enjoy being part of a collegiate team of lawyers dedicated to as well as having the opportunity to work with other lawyers within London office.

The position will support the business activities relating to assets which will include:

• Drafting and negotiation of key development contracts

• Ensuring compliance with joint venture arrangements and any necessary amendments to dovetail the same with the development

• Arrangements with the Government, such as licensing, local facilities, taxation and associated matters

• Given the multi-faceted nature of these business activities, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to deepen and broaden their experience of development operations, on a world scale project Key Accountabilities Gain an in-depth, practical understanding of:

• Approach to joint venture, supply chain and other contracting arrangements, the documentation governing assets, the oil and gas licensing and regulatory regime, in each case in respect of the business

• Support and advise internal stakeholders on the drafting and negotiation of contractual arrangements in respect of supply chain operations

• Provide timely, practical and commercially orientated advice to internal stakeholders on legal arrangements governing interests

• Manage external legal resources and help build productive relationships with BU suppliers.

• Work with negotiation teams and support the resolution of disputes to optimise position Ž

Major Challenges

• Provide legal support to complex projects, under time pressure

• Produce a high quality of legal documentation

• Ensure contracts achieve an appropriate allocation of risk and reward between and the contractors Financial Accountability / Activity indicators

• Support the monitoring of external legal costs against department budget

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree level education

• Hold a current legal practising certificate from a relevant jurisdiction

We are working with our client based in Aberdeen who is looking for a Document Control Administrator on a contract basis for 2 months.

The division manufactures products for sale and distribution and each of these products comes with a manufacturer’s record/data book.

This role would be responsible for checking that these record books are accurate prior to being sent out. MS Office (Word/Excel) experience is required, but if the candidate also has exposure to SAP this would be advantageous.

Oil and gas operator currently have an opening for a General Accounting Analyst to join their team for a permanent role based in Aberdeen

The analyst role is to be accountable for the financial recording of gross G&A costs, and their related cost recovery.

The analyst must perform, maintain and develop financial G&A procedures and reports to ensure the integrity of G&A accounting transactions and the time-writing system.

Key Accountabilities

• Annual preparation of Department 1st Spend and Headcount budgets.

• Annual preparation of Cost allocation budget, including the Service Level Agreement.

• Monthly preparation of actual / forecast costs for internal Business Unit Reporting.

• Monthly review of department charge out rates and subsequent processing of rate adjustments, similar accountability for recoding and allocation of helicopter cost • Monthly reconciliation of direct recharges.

• Coding: issue guides and make coding corrections for all departments.

• Facilitate and assist Maximo procure to pay process for departmental costs.

• Preparation, review and issue of reports and meet with Department managers to discuss. Preparation of quarterly BU leadership reports focussing on key spend and recovery parameters.

• Review of Time-writing journals exported from the time writing system.

• Extract of structured data from the time writing system and preparation of time writing reports for use by JV analysts.

• Monthly reconciliation of inventory balances to JV ledgers, maintenance of vessel and fuel trackers and monthly meetings with Supply Chain Management

• Preparation of the monthly performance scorecard, and administration of the annual statutory audit

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level in relevant subject.

• Professional exam qualified (CA / CIMA / ACCA)

We are working with our client based in Great Yarmouth to source a Document Controller.

This is a 6 month contract role with the client Key

Responsibilities

• To work as part of a team supporting ongoing Document Management (DM) work – either corporately or on a project. This includes all document management activities required to meet the needs of the onshore and offshore

• Process all documentation received in DMG in accordance with prescribed matrices and within timescales

• To process all types of design documents in accordance to agreed procedures or work instructions

• Perform prescribed quality check on all documents prior to processing

• To accurately enter and update information, approved etc by formal transmittals be e-mail templates

• Accurately allocate and control the numbering of documents and drawings (as required)

• Assist in completing requests, searches and queries as requested by any project personnel

• Complete each task – process, transmit, attach electronic files in EDMS and do hard copy filing before starting next task

Role Requirements

• Educated to Standard Grade Level (pref to include Technical/Engineering, English, Science, and Math’s)

• Experienced in working in an engineering project group or document management group

• Experience in document management activities

• Experienced in processing design documentation

• Experienced user of electronic document management systems

• Experience in working to departmental and project procedures

• Experience in working in Oil & Gas environment

• Understanding of electronic file production and retention

• Capable of processing Design documents in accordance with project procedures

Mechanical Support Engineer - Aberdeen

Oil and gas operator currently have an opening for a Mechanical Support Engineer to join their team for a 6 month contract role based in Aberdeen.

The Senior Mechanical Maintenance Support Engineer provides first line asset engineering support to the offshore maintenance delivery team with the aim of ensuring the execution of effective maintenance and repair activities on behalf of the Offshore Operations Manager

Accountabilities

• Ensure that discipline specific engineering work remains within budget

• Provide discipline input to the 28 and 90 day asset planning process

• Provide discipline guidance and engineering endorsement to proposed changes to PMRs within the SAP CMMS

• Provide recommendations for critical spares stock levels and assist in optimising the asset inventory

• Act as liaison with other disciplines, vendor representatives, and manufacturers.

• Ensure vendors are mobilised on time to meet the asset planning schedule and that vendors mobilise fully prepared to execute scopes of work on time and within agreed budget

• Assist with the resolution of operational problems, including participation in and close-out of accident/incident investigations and root cause analysis

• Actively engage with the site execution teams, ensuring participation in corporate behavioural safety and intervention schemes, work to enhance communication and promote understanding of goals

Education

• Minimum BEng

• Preferable CEng, full member of Engineering Council recognised Institute

• Demonstrates a wide range of skills, knowledge and experience required of a professional mechanical engineer Work Experience

• Considerable relevant experience of the oil and gas industry, predominantly gained in an engineering and production operations environment.

• Good working knowledge and application of relevant UK oil and gas industry regulations.

• Familiarity with quality processes and the application of continuous improvement tools is desirable.

• Worked within operations or Service Company with specific rotating equipment expertise
