Commercial Advisor - Aberdeen

The role supports the Aberdeen Hub Senior Management Team on contractual issues to protect the Company's legal position with regards to its contractual commitments and related exposures and liabilities.

Also, to continually review and develop the process for ensuring operational awareness of contract scope, co-ordinating corrective actions to align contract scope and operational delivery/client services.

Key responsibilities of the role are to:

Co-ordinate and manage commercial queries from both internal and external clients.

Negotiate and compile relevant amendments and variations for current clients.

Ensure that the contract agreed with client reflects actual service and commercial delivery.

Prepare and maintain annual plan for internal contract audits and review sessions.

Confirm management teams are aware of contract scope and rates build-up.

Ensure rate schedules are held centrally and the early preparation of negotiated escalations.

Ensure client contracts spreadsheets are maintained and distributed appropriately.

Arrange for any rate changes to be rolled out to relevant UK&CE sales team personnel.

Co-ordinate responses to client RFIs, RFQs & ITTs and advise on any contractual implications.

Work directly with the Finance Manager to provide rate build-ups for client RFIs, RFQs & ITTs, ensuring commercial offerings are in line with Company Budget and Forecast.

Liaise with relevant parties to ensure legal and insurance coverage provisions.

Minimum Competencies (Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours)

Demonstrable track record within the oil and gas industry tendering process Commercial acumen, and an understanding of contract documents and legal agreements including, service agreements, leases, Heads of Terms, MOUs, and Collaboration Agreements.

Effective negotiating skills with the ability to network influence and challenge people at all levels.

Ability to quickly develop effective relationships with colleagues, customers and vendors.

Solutions based with strong analytical, planning and organising skills, and an excellent attention to detail.

Accustomed to adapting to short timescales and changing deadlines while liaising with multiple sources.

The ability to work using own initiative, taking ownership of duties and tasks Demonstrates professionalism, integrity and credibility Highly numeric with well-developed IT and presentation skills across the Microsoft suite

Minimum Qualifications Desirable

Degree qualified in relevant subject.

Experience within supply chain and logistics
