We are working with our client based in Aberdeen to source an Assistant Document Controller.
This is a contract role that will be ongoing
Filing & Archiving Maintaining supplier and vendor document schedules for individual projects
Maintaining the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS)
Assisting the Document Controller in Drawing/Document receipt and issue in line with contractual obligations
Assisting the Document Controller with checking in house Drawings/Documentation for compliance to Company procedures
Assisting the Document Controller with checking externally supplied Drawings/Documentation upon receipt for Compliance with contractual requirements.
Control of quality records including document control lists, transmittals, transmittal receipts and Customer comments in line with in house, supplier, customer and ISO quality procedures.
Manage, organize, and update relevant data to support the project engineer(s) in producing and transmitting project documentation to meet the requirements of the customer’s expectations
Other duties as specified by the Document Controller or the Resource Team Leader.
General office administrate task.
Essential Decisiveness – Readiness to make decisions, render judgments and take action both personally and on behalf of the Company.
Must be adept in use of MS Office 2000 or later, particularly Excel and Word, Internet and email Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable Technical or industry knowledge to support the project / service activities
Knowledge of document control systems in particular open text
